Jamaican Princess Weekend Striper Wrap-up

Stared at Saturday’s forecaster all day long on Friday and decided it wasn’t going to be pretty so I canceled the am trip. When I got up Sat morning I thought they had blown the forecast but by 8:00 the north east wind was cranking. By 2:30 the fan had turned off and I was able to get half the crew down for an afternoon trip. Getting bait was a little bit of a challenge, we managed a dozen or so swimmers and off we went. Had fish on right away and after a couple swings and misses Amy connected with her first striper ever and then put on a clinic. Awesome afternoon with some really nice folks!



Up and out early on Sunday morning with another Make up crew, made bait right away and then headed back to scene of the crime from the night before. Got two fish on right away then missed a couple then added one more before things slowed down. Strange day, the fish seemed to be playing with their food, coming up and whacking at but not eating it. Just as we were getting ready to call it a day they got hungry again and starting eating. Stayed onsite an extra hour or so for a strong finish.
