Good bass numbers day -5/10
Action was great all day for mostly dinks but some solid fish too. Hit three small public lakes with each producing very well. Largest was a solid 18" going about 3 1/4lbs but most were in the 7-10" range. They were hitting everything but most were on #4(1/8 oz) silver Panther Martin. Spinners hook a lot of weeds but lots of fish too. Got some decent sunnies and a big crappie as well.
Visited my winter kill pond and found very little. Fished for about an hour with nothing. Did see small sunnies(under 4") so some fish did survive but no signs of bass. I've decided that once I can legally take bass again(>June 15th), I'm throwing some legal-size bass back in there. I will try to restore the ponds bass population. If they die again this coming winter, I'll take that as a sign they don't belong. Stay tuned...

Re: Good bass numbers day -5/10
Almost forgot the "highlight" of the day was having my largest bass snap my line at the reel. Fortunately the bass didn't take off(it buried itself in weeds). I found the other half of the line and "reeled" the bass in with my hands. This is not the first time I've done this and certainly not the last.
