Sunday afternoon on the Big D
Hit the water North of the Gap around 3 yesterday with the infamous Predator. Very windy conditions at the start with even some white caps. Not real conducive for casting. I managed to land 3 bucks, one nice roe and lost one halfway in and had few nice bumps in 2 hours. Nice start to the day. All were caught on hammered gold/ yellow flutter spoon. The wind and rain got to be to be too much so we took some cover for a half hour. Once the rain stopped , the sun came out and the wind died completely . Unfortunately so did the Shad. Predator landed 2 and I got one more before calling it quits around 7:30. In total 7 shad landed and lots of fun as always. I'm sure we'll have some video of this up soon. There are shad throughout the river , so the time is now.
