Default Trout Disease Affects stocking in Central NJ?

Tonight, Friday, about 8:00 PM I crossed over the Assumpink Creek bridge on Old Trenton Road. I was dark already, but I don't think I saw any stocking signs nailed up to the trees this year. If so, I believe it would be due to the cut back on stocking due the disease problem.
Also, it would be the 1st time since I lived in the area (45 years) that the stream hasn't been stocked for opening day.

nope, that's not one of the ones impacted by the stocking changes this year (other than the 4 weeks instead of 7)

Assunpink Creek
preseason: 1,280
week 1: 230 Th
week 2: 230 W
week 3: 210 W
week 4: 210 W
total 2,160

Assunpink Creek
Washington Old Trenton Road Rt. 295, exit 5 onto Rt. 130 North for approx. 1 mile. Left onto Rt. 526
Robbinsville-Allentown Road for 3.3 miles. Right onto Rt. 535 Old Trenton Road
to bridge crossing Parking for 6 to 10 cars

information current as of 4/1/14

NJ DFW has actually been doing a real good job at keeping the info on their website current with all the changes from the furunculosis outbreak

acabtp-

Thanks for the correction.

As I said it was dark, and I didn't see any posting signs up on the trees.
This is a brand new bridge over the Assumpink which was just completed last month. The whole parking area around the bridge was completely torn up and packed with front-end loaders and other large construction equipment for many months. Perhaps the stocking guys couldn't get in there to put up the posters...or perhaps, I just couldn't see the signs.

I never go out on opening day, so I don't have a copy of the NJ Fish & Game laws phamphlet, but I should have checked on line before I posted the question.

I don't think they put up any new signs this year. The ones I looked at all were from last year.
