![]() Wit da flyrod: dark stonefly nymphs(prince nymphs)bhpheasant tails 14-18's
Spinnin rod: the smallest lunker city finnesse fish they make, think it a 2 1/2 or ...3"....On a 1/32 oz.1/16 oz and 1/8 oz. plain round jig heads...the size of the heads depends on water clarity, depth and speed of the perticular pool i'm fishin....I go very natural when choosing colors on the finnesse fish and if the water is stained or SUPER DEEP ( 10' and deeper) ill go with an all white... Also LOVE rapalas xrap series wich totally suspend on the pause...The xr6 is the perfect size fer the smaller stockies and come in a killer little trout pattern... I've experimented alot with these the last couple yrs and find that the smaller sizes work better if you take off the feather tracer.....I do keep the feather trailer on with the larger size xraps... I hope ANY of my late night ramblings helps somone with somethin....2cents out

![]() Bait: #12 gami with a split shot 1' up, to just hold bottom in a stream with a superworm and a piece of power bait coiled around the head of the worm just enough to cover the head.
Lure: my goto in smaller places is the 1/32 prop blade rooster tail in white, and if you saw my rapala box you would understand how much I like them... In larger waters. |

![]() Early = Spinners, rooster tails and panther martins. Some years gold, some years silver. For the breeders in the ponds, cant go wrong with a 1/2 oz. cast master.
few weeks in, all about the plugs. 2"-3" repalas. |
