Default Bahama Fishing Recommendations?

Going to be heading down the bahamas (atlantis) late next week and was curious if anyone had recommendations for either charters (ideally someone who runs split charters as I dont want to take on the cost of a full trip for just me) or party boats. Dont really care what species (although offshore is the goal), just want to get out for a day.

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

JM

Most charters from nassau are a nice boat ride a couple miles along the coast trolling for inshore species no matter what they say. Had success with spinning rod off rocks but i heard they chase u now. I wouldnt go with any of the charter boats in the harbor unless someone gave u a specific name of a boat that is new to the group. enjoy the premises during spring break!

What Mahi said.... Was in the Bahamas once and a friend got a "great deal" on a half day charter and wanted me to join him... I knew we were in trouble when arrived at the boat and saw the name of the boat was The Enterprise and the Captain introduces himself as Captain Kurk.

He took us out about 1/2 mile and we used squid strips to catch small reef fish. Tackle was in shambles as was the boat... A total joke which we still talk about to this day...

Like Mahi said, don't take any locals word for a good boat. Make sure you get a reccomendation from someone state side.
