![]() We just bought a 23ft Deep V Parker this fall. Ran it and loved how it handled. We actually repowered it from a 200 to a 250HP Yamaha. Ours is a CC. LOTS of open space for fishing in the front and behind the seat area. Added rocket launchers to the T-Top for rods but there was plenty of space under the gunnels. Gunnels are a nice height, not to low/high. We added padding all around just for comfort. Ours has three under deck storage compartments so plenty of room for gear, etc. Not too many dislikes so far....

![]() Hard to go wrong with a Parker. There are a lot of old Parkers still running around for good reason. These boats are built to last and have great resale value.
If you are looking at the pilot house, I believe there are modified vs and deep v hull models. You want the deep v to get as smooth a ride as possible as these boats tend to pound a bit. Part of this issue with the pilot house models is the helm seating is all the way forward. While you are running this puts you up closer to the bow where the up and down motion of the seas is more pronounced. The good news is the forward seating gives you a huge clear cockpit space that you will not find in most boats of similar size. If you can, and I suggest this with any outboard boat you'll be out in the elements with, you want a closed, not notched out transom. A closed transom reduces the chances of being swamped by a wave from behind. Hope this helps.
