![]() Fished yesterday solo...awesome!
Returned to the scene of the crime with my two daughters- the oldest celebrating her 13th birthday, by choice, wanting to catch these MONSTER Bluefish on the CR. From the first Toot of the horn throughout the morning it was just crazy fishing. Mayhem ensued! With a near full boat everyone had to work together to get these fish in. My daughter had an awesome birthday party on the Robin with multiple fish to the boat ![]() As always the CREW did a FIRST RATE job...thanks for a great day. |

![]() My son Jason and I had a good day fishing the bow of the Cock Robin today. We both had fish on within 3 minutes of the first drift. My first bluefish weighed in at just under #21 and I had another right around 20 as did my son. We each caught several more slightly smaller ones. Numerous occasions where most if not all of us in the bow were hooked up at the same time. Working together definitely helped. I was fortunate enough to not only catch the first bass on the boat (only 3 others were caught) but it turned into the pool winner weighing in at #19.8.

![]() Really NICE BASS you got, think you landed em near us. When we saw it come over the rail, we knew our large blue was out on contention as on the CR... STIPERS trump blues...Rules are rules and congratulations!

I actually had at one bluefish (that I caught within the first 5 minutes on the first drift) that weighed more than the striper. On the ride back in it weighed in at a shade under #20. Doug said it definitely lost anywhere from .5-1.5 pounds in weight from the time it was caught until the time it was weighed. I'm calling it as a #21 blue. Wish I was able to go again tomorrow but going have to settle for next Saturday. Some of the most fun catching those double gigantic bluefish I've had in years. |
