Default Millstone River fish pics

Yesterday evening I caught and released an 11.5" black crappie with my homemade corn meal bait in the Millstone River and took a pic. Crappies almost never hit corn mail. Then I caught and released a bluegillxsunfish hybrid on a small jig. I only catch a few hybrids each year. http://s865.photobucket.com/user/NJ2...tml?sort=3&o=1 http://s865.photobucket.com/user/NJ2...tml?sort=3&o=0

The crappie pictured has a very nice set of fins. Good lookin' fish.

Hmmm...that is an odd looking sunfish.
I agree, that could be some kind of hybrid.

Looks like a "Crappie-Gill" or maybe a "Blue-Crappie" or something. Pretty cool looking either way.

I caught another hybrid in the same spot and took another pic. It may have been the same fish. http://s865.photobucket.com/user/NJ2...tml?sort=3&o=0

That's not a pumpkinseed. Probably a pumpkinseed/bluegill, maybe a redbreast/bluegill
