Default Paramount Ling Fishing

100' Paramount Report
9/4/13

Capt. Francis Bogan
Ling & Cod

Ling fishing was excellent on Monday with all the right conditions to get the bite going. Anglers had from 12 to 20 Ling per person with a number of high hooks in the 30s and 40s. Andrew Lau from Queens, NY and Charles Lau from Freehold, NJ combined for 39 Ling, Jeff and Matt Schwarz combined for a nice load of 80+ Ling and Bernard Jones from East Orange had a whopping 52 Ling for the day.

We continue to see constant movement of Ling between the wrecks and from shallower to deeper water (and back again) When conditions are good for anchoring the fishing has been stellar and on days where the current is strong or the seas a bit rough you see the slow picks like we had on Sunday. Tuesday we did not have many people but decided to sail anyway since it was such a nice day (the day after the Holiday weekend usually stinks for crowds since everyone is going back to work and back to school) and fishing was OK. 16 year old Michael Bogan from Brick, NJ landed 12 Ling and threw back more Winter Flounder then you can shake a stick at, Tony Lambiase from Edison, NJ had 12 Ling, Harry Schaible (sorry if spelling is wrong, hard to read handwriting) from Edison, NJ had 15 Ling and Corey Schaible had 15 Ling.

The good days are producing 15 to 20 per man with highs in the 20s and 30s and the average days are 8 to 15 per man with highs in the teens and twenties. Has not been a bad day in quite a while!

We will be sailing every day for Ling and Cod until Sea Bass season opens back up on September 27th.

Paramount Sailing Schedule:
SEA BASS Season will re-open September 27th.

Cod have been showing up alittle the last few weeks and a few smaller Pollack. 3 weeks ago we hit a wreck in the mud hole and had about 20 cod come aboard with half being keepers, one being 20lbs.
