Default Daiwa Rod Caught

On Monday my son snag and pulled up a 6' brown Daiwa rod with a Shakespeare reel. He got it in 25 feet of water just off the tip of the hook. He clean the rod yesterday and it looks good. The reel has alot of sand in the gears. It had a 10 oz weight, so I'm thinking it came off a party boat and wasn't under for long. If its your rod and you want it back send me a message.

How great...so honest of you to post this. I know someone that just lost his rod/reel up by the Highlands but I think it was a Penn. Hope you find its owner.

My heart jumped when I read Daiwa but my reel was a Penn 155 and a Daiwa 40 lb rod . I lost it at the 1 mile marker out of Manasquan inlet a few years back Mackerel fishing. I keep hoping that someone finds it if only to hang what is left of it on a wall.

I lost an Ugly Stick a couple of weeks ago around Elberon. For a moment I thought the fish gods were giving one back.
Great to see this post. Hope it connects with the right person.
