Default Where are all the PB's doing Canyon trips?

Had a fleeting idea to try a 24 Tuna Canyon run in Septmember. To my chagrin, I was amazed how many guys are NOT even advertising it.

I've been on Jamaica, Jersey Girl, Golden Eagle, and others. Not list these trips can be booked.

Are the tuna that scattered that they can not be effectively targeted for 50 guys on a boat?

I know this year had been weird inshore with fluke, missing bluefish, unusual croakers in No. NJ and even black sea bass ( catching WAY more than usual).

Whats up?

The boats are running trips, but 50 guys on a tuna trip not so much. That would be an absolute nightmare!

Check out the Gambler site...all trips listed...24 fishers max/trip-with # of spots still open...depends on reports, if any, but probably the Hudson or Toms-but we have gone to the Wilmington more than once!!!

I've been getting emails and FB updates regarding these types of trips from multiple Jersey head boats including the sponsors listed in your post. They are def running them this year. They have multiple means of advertising not just NJFishing. The tuna will be there...no doubt. According to some of the smaller boats they are here already.

Just did a quick look on GE's and the tuna res form is right on the front page...Did a quick search on the Big J's schedule and tuna trips are listed. Not sure why you can't find it???

Chuckie ! You beat me to the punch. This isn't California or Bluefishing. The Gambler has 16 24hr trips on her Schedule and 4 longer trips . Some are already sold out. Just click on The Gambler Icon on the front page . 24 passengers on the overnighters.

The 80ft Suzie Girl out of Belmar will be doing numerous canyon trips in September and October.Capt Jim Hull has years of exp. and the vessel is top notch. The Suzie Girl is fast and the trips will be limited in the number anglers and this gives everyone a bunk!Check out the web site. All the info will be posted as soon as the chunk bite turns on and that is soon!Give C apt Jim a call.

Don't know what you're looking at, both the Jamaica and the Golden Eagle show their tuna dates every day on their reports here and their sites.

The 125 Jamaica starts with his first trip on Sept. 10 and runs tuna into November.
