![]() been hitting the salt a lot lately. but decided to hit a local lake down the street. about 2 hours each of the last few days flipping a 1.5 inch Rapala minnow close the bank and around some weeds. I forgot just how much fun it is catching the smaller fish on an light set up.
Bluegills (med - jumbo), largemouth from juveniles up to about 10 inches, one pickeral and the nicest catch was a very large black crappie that bent the pole over. nice assortment of fish - all within 20 feet of the bank. I don't have a boat or yak so I'm sure the bigger fish are out deeper and in the lilypads. nonetheless - nice action anda great way to close out the day and watch the sun go down....and hear the screams from the roller coasters at Great Adventure.

![]() Good to hear that the fish are back in that impoundment... it was drained not too long ago to repair the dam and all the fish were moved to Colliers Mills.

![]() i heard that it was drained and restocked. it was news to me. but there are absolutely fish in the place. again, I kept within 20 feet so they were small - but that crappie was legit.
