Default NY Harbor area?

Any reports for the harbor or anywhere close to it? I'm taking a couple kids out tomorrow and would like to see them catch fish. I don't care if its blues or fluke. I don't care if they're keepers or not. I just wanna put them on fish

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try around Hoffman and Swinburn Islands near the VZ. There are usually some keeper fluke mixed with shorts around both sides of these islands. It's my go to spot when I take kids. It's usually calm and there's lots of action. As always, keep a eye out for working birds around Norton Point.

West side of the 1st island. If you have a chart, you'll see a 20-25' trough.(Borrow Area) Drift up/down/side to side depending on conditions. There are sand bars. mussel beds, etc. should have life. Currents on the East side may be too strong and require too much lead to fish for kids.
Took my nephews there last year and they picked up 6.5lb and 7lb fluke right there.
