Any one who follows my posts knows I have a little honey hole that's less than five minutes from my house, a private lake , couple of acres and a john boat with a dock. Great little gem of a lake, been fishing it since I was a child. Great for the usual Bass, crappies, pic's etc. Was tearing em' up in the spring then it slowed up and I started hitting my other spots. Well one of my best friends and my best man who I grew up with lived on this lake. We spent many, many , many days fishing and hunting among other things we all did as teenagers LOL. Unfortunately a couple weeks ago he fell down a flight of stairs and died from head trauma. Still unbelievable I finally went back tonight and fished for JOE. I only landed one fish but it was a beauty. 4lbs. on the nose on my scale. I looked up and thanked Joe. Took a quick pic and returned her back into the water. All in all a great night to catch that fish in memory of my buddie!!!

Dude...So sorry to hear that about your friend. Glad he was able to send you that fish to let you know he's workin' it for you!

Sorry to hear about your loss but I'm sure your buddy was right there with you while you were pulling that one in. With a recent death in my family I find myself fishing a lot more to relieve stress and get my mind off things as well. Hang in there man and tight lines.

Kinda odd but if you look close at the pic kinda see something around me a halo maybe or the shadow of my buddy behind me?? Freaky but who knows?????????

Very sorry to hear about your friend. Nice fish and that's a great picture. I see what you mean about something going on around your head, top of your hat seems a bit blurry.
