I'm going to MC tomorrow, maybe I'll see you there.

.
Took the kayak to Spruce Run this past weekend. I am not familiar with that reservoir at all. I just wanted to go to a place where I could park close to the water in case there was a thunderstorm. The water has the color and consistency of pea soup. Saw a few boats slow trolling herring up and down the lake, but didn't see anyone catch anything. Lots of baitfish in the water. You can see the ripples in the water when a school of herring gets close to the surface. Especially in the evening. I caught some carp, but that's all I really fished for since the bass didn't really seem to be on the bite. This is what the water looked like:

Hit up Spruce Run last sunday. Got a few small lm bass, bluegills and yellow perch. Water was a tad stained with a green film on top. Gulls were having fun chasing herring which were breaking the surface. Its at full pool so many of the shoreline bushes are in water. That's where the bass all were.
