It was not great or terrible last nite. We had another nite of very strong current that seemed like it was never going to slow down, but we still managed a couple of limit catches and had guys with 1 or no fish at all. The dogs were a problem on every drop we fished so we had to keep bouncing around drop to drop. Pool winner was a nice 15 lb fish caught in the current which gave some battle.Have noticed more short bass in last 2 nites along with the keepers. As long as we are still catching fish we will stay clamming for a bit longer before we put the worms on the boat for drift fishing. On or about July 1 we will start looking around for the porgies and seabass which we have done in the past, which everyone that has fished with me knows can be good fun and excellent eating.
