I attended the Round Valley Trout Associations June monthly meeting tonight. It was a GREAT meeting. Captn’ Dave from “Live to Fish” guide service talked about spoon plugging and fishing structure. He covered a lot of bases and beat it into our heads that a weed bed or some lily pads were not “structure”. He talked about looking at the bottom of the lake instead of the top of the lake to figure out where the fish are holding and when and where they will be moving. VERY informative presentation and I thank Dave for coming out on his free time and sharing his knowledge with others.
There was a lot of prizes handed out tonight as well as raffle drawings. Normal agenda was also covered. About 25 people there, a light crowd, but I think there are a lot of high school graduations this week.
Chris Lido was also in attendance. I believe the next two meeting will be held near the dirt ramp at Round Valley and I think the grill will be going with burgers and hot dogs.
