Thumbs up Wed. Tuna.com Cod Trip

As planned the wife & I made the trek up to Gloucester for a short 4 day vacation. First person I see in the parking lot is Capt. Dave. "Be at the boat at 4:45AM sharp!"

Not really much going on up there the week before Memorial Day. But there was enough shopping and walking to keep the wife happy. Met up with my buddy, Jeff on Tuesday. He had his wife and son with him. We went to the SeaPort Grille for dinner on Tuesday as they also had a Doo-Wop A cappella group, North SHore, performing that night. Good people, good food & good music. Excellent night.

Now for the important stuff. Didn't sleep much, due to some very loud thunder & rain! But got up in plenty of time to be at the boat by 4:45 With Jeff & son Greg, 3 other guys on the boat and one guy says, "Hey didn't I fish with you on Tagged Fish?' Hi John! Anyway, Sandro is the captain for the day and we are off Ran out about 20 miles anchored up, in a bit of a sporty sea, dropped down and it was game on! Almost drop & reel codfishing. WIth a good amount of Haddock thrown in to boot. The day calmed down, cleared up and actually warmed up so all in all couldn't ask for a much better day! Only a couple fish short of a boat limit on the Cod with the Haddock and a few Pollock thrown in.

Let me try it like Jmurr did. Pics at this link: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater
