Manasquan Res.
Fished from 8am to 1pm on Sunday. Forecast was for winds 5 to 10mph but it was more like 15 to 20. Spent most of the day on the north side to escape the wind and wound up with 6 bass with 1 smallie and a big pickeral between my brother and I. Water temps as high as 59 degrees so in a week or two the fish should really turn on.

Re: Manasquan Res.
I live 5 min from there. Saw it get filled as a kid and grew up fishing it. Good fishing. Back in February over a 3 day stretch a few friends of mine and myself landed over 300 crappie. I wear a size 12 and some made it past that mark. All from shore also. The largemouth fishing is tough at times. The Hybrids are all over and if you fish them right you will catch. Oh and everything eats chicken livers in that place. Crazy but true.

Re: Manasquan Res.
Less then 15 boats were out there, with most hugging the north shore to escape the wind. Water was clear down to 5 feet where we were. My brother caught his fish on a jig while mine fell for a senco fished as slow as possible. Every year we catch a few hybrids trolling crankbaits and rattletraps while motoring to our next spot.

Yeah it won't be long now for the Squan. Quality fish to be had there. Here's a few pics from the day.
