![]() We had good fishing right away today for about an hour then it was a pick till the end of the day when they turned on again. Mike Rotundo from Hackensack was todays pool winner with a 17 pound bass. Our best fishing (which is often the case when clam fishing) was across the stern where everyone limited. The sides had some limits but not like the stern. Sunday looks very good. Thanks Captain George

![]() Any theory on why the stern catches more fish? Less bounce with the waves? More experienced fisherman? Other?

![]() When fish follow a scent trail the first baits they find are the ones they eat.
