Default PP Canal and Squan jetty

Got a chance to hit the canal today- a hige bust!! Everyone I ran into today had nothing.. no blacks or flounder. Decided to hit the jetty and caught a nice keeper tog in 15 minutes. Then nothing again. Well, at least it ia better than nothing.

This early in the year, I find soft baits seem to work- I was using sandworms. Then again, did not see any shops selling crabs. Two bites, one fish.

Same here. I started at the south end for flounder got 0. Made my way to other end for tog 1 short bite. Nobody had anything. Water was dirty from offshore storm Im guessing. They have to eat sometime.

Wow I'm shocked... Was the tide running hard? Higher tide than normal?

The tide was running fast but the wind yesterday was insane. Turned out to be a bad combination.
