Day off - 4/17/13
Not as many bass this time. Got about ten or so with dozens of chainsides. This lake was tough to figure out but once I found the warmest cove, the action picked up greatly. Lake is about 100+ acres and temps varied from 52 to 59F. Big difference and all the difference when it came to fish hitting. All bass were off/near the lumber. Picks were mostly in the soon to be emerging pad fields. One thing I notice about these large lakes is that there is always a breeze which doesn't help my buzzbaiting. Seemed like most of the day, my buzz was 'surfing' the waves. Nonetheless, the fish still grabbed it which tells me its not the buzz sound but the sight of it that gets the fishes attention.
