Blues usually follow after Striper fishing comes into it's own so I think you will need to wait a while until you can put a consistnet catch together. Every year is different but they seem to start up late May and really turn on in June when the water warms up.

Rumor has it that someone was snagging bunker and reeled in a bunker with a bite out of it in the Raritan bay..... didn't see it myself but that's what I heard.
