Default Ocean Explorer Thursday

4-4-13 We had some spectacular ocean conditions early on today..Flat calm,,almost slick calm..Anchored up shallower to start and had a few ling and a couple of keeper blackfish pretty quick,,not enough though so we moved around a bit and still did not find anything to exciting so we moved out to the deeper waters where we have been catching some fish but as I attempted to anchor we were swept by a ripping current running about a knot and a half...it was cranking making fishing deep today almost impossible..Took a ride back in shallow and just could not get much going,,,just a few ling here and there and maybe a couple of more togs..so overall a tough day catching wise but nice on the ocean,,see ya tomorrow..Pool fish was a blackfish about 3 -4lbs..

Bobby, thanks for giving it everything today as usual, can't blame you for not trying. Fish just weren't there today for us. Hopefully next week with temps rising, water will warm a little to turn on the bite....

Looked good first thing. The guy next to me had a short cod before I got to the bottom. He had nothing else after that. I had one ling and a got loose. Other than that not even a bite. Last friday there was no current with a full moon. Yesterday it was ripping with 1/4.

Yes it's been slow for us also our best day we had a doz per angler but usually it is less than that lately that's why I want to try at night because I am out of ideas of what to do next

I was right at the gate. Thought the pool winner was in the back corner by me. His was about 3 1/2.
