Default Ponds freezing up again...

...this is getting ridiculous. I didn't see day forecast over 50F in the next 10 days. Nights in the upper 20's/low 30's. This is spring? I get the feeling come late April we're going to bust out into the 80's and go right into summer temps from there on.

Since Jan 1st, 39 out of 78 days have been below normal. Perhaps this is the new normal?

I think it's great. I was pike fishing on over a foot of ice up in CT over the weekend. With night temps in the low 20s and the snow insulating the ice during the day I should be able to ice fish Easter weekend!

I know been wanting to get out, but have to wait ... alot time spent re-spooling reels and checking tackle.

My new lures are just sitting there on the table gathering dust: buzzbaits, surface poppers, spinnerbaits, et al. Tic-toc, tic-toc, waiting....
