Passaic River

hey guys, not looking for any specifics but was wondering where do u guys fish for pike from shore. I would like to try the fishery out but dont know where to start. Furthermore what lures seem to be the most effective. I used to have a lot of time to fish and find access points that are fishy but now with 70 hour work weeks (f the resturant business) I could use a little help...

Well.. the best thing I can tell you, is to check out Google and Bing Maps. Take an aerial view of the Passaic River. Depending where "the restaurant" is you should be able to find a shore access point.

The river is stocked in multiple locations with pike. Check out this link which has been posted in a previous thread. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/artpassaicpike13.htm

There's no Secret spot I can Tell you about. Do a little research and I promise you it will pay off.

You can learn from past Pike and Passaic threads on this site or do some internet and book reading on "Pike Patterns"

Just go to Two Bridges and you will find open areas up and down all over the river to access.... Just find an opening in the tree line along the river and cast away.... Pike are all over that area....
