![]() I have noticed that quite a few Pollock have been caught on bait this year on the 20-40 mile Wreck and Mudhole trips. Here is a quick and easy rig for those who like simplicity and want to get a jumbo Pollock on bait. I have found it quite effective!
You will need... 1. 150-230LB Barrel Swivels. (A good quality stainless swivel is pefered). 2.About 4-5 ft of 80LB Mono Leader. 3. 1 8/0-10/0 Gami or Owner Octopus Hook 4. A Teaser, if wanted. It is optional.(I have had good results with Tsunami Squids. Pink, Blue, and Glow are good colors, do not be afraid to try grubs too.) Connect leader to swivel with an improved clinch not. About ten inches down from the swivel tie a 6 inch kiwi loop. About 3-4 ft down from the kiwi loop, tie a 3-4 inch pefection loop. Trim excess line. Here are some links on how to tie a perfection loop and kiwi loop for those who do not know. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/louis...loop-knot.html http://www.netknots.com/fishing_knots/perfection-loop/ Simple and effective. Go get some Pollock! SNAPPERHEAD

![]() I meant 3-4 feet down from the Kiwi loop, not inches.
