Default Party Boat Angler Wednesday Report

Started the day with poor anchoring conditions but good action on the tog but most were shorts. Steve Zaretsky from Monro left his son Joel home and caught todays pool fish. Last week Joel took the pool. We hyad a few Atlantic Star customers out today who did very well. Rich Calabrese from Cresskill had 8 keepers and Ben Santo from Keansburg had 6 nice fish. Had the first ling in a few weeks and a short cod. I think we may have some ling this weekend to ad to the tog.

Tomorrow looks very good with NW wind. Thanks Captain George. Galley open tomorrow.

Blackfishing was damn near horrible today. No fault of the captains. But every trip on any boat the past weeks have been the same. It's not getting better. Scratching away all day for a couple of fish. Ninety percent shorts when you did get one. Everyone is complaining on the lack of keepers. Time to switch to another species so customers can at least bring some fish home for their fares. I'm through with blackfish until the spring.
