Default Tough Trout Fishing Today

I hit a local lake today trying to get my first trout of the season. I started out casting a rocky dam area. I threw in line spinners, rooster tails, spoons, cranks, jerks, and blade baits without a nibble. Then I started to troll. I covered every inch of that lake. I did find a nice hole that was stacked up with crappie. I pulled a couple out each time I trolled over it. Then I switched to nightcrawlers, under floats and on bottom and only got a nice bluegill. With 20 minutes of sunlight left, I threw a glob of pink powerbait into 2' of water and a fat brookie was all over it.

She isn't the biggest I ever caught but after working that hard for her, I was happy. She was 15" and weighed 1.12 after being bled. Since I haven't in a while, I figured I would post a report.
