Default Walleye jig fest

I can only get out this time of year to Walleye fish with my neighbor who is a Walleye nut!
Today was an astonishing day for both of us, on Lk. Hopatcong ! We had a great day with 15 eyeballs between 3 & 8 plus lbs.!
Only 4 rats , but added to the fillets with a nice bunch of outsize crappie!
Add some hybreds & the normal panfish deal we probably landed over 50 combined species in very good
weather

Water temp surface 59
Down temp forgot my thermo
Thermocline showed about 35' still in tact east side
Jigged all deep
Simply amazing
day never had one like it since I only get to go several times in the fall !

That sounds like a great day...Awesome job.

Heading there on Saturday with a buddy of mine...never fished for Walleye but maybe we'll get lucky. Supposed to be pretty good weather then as well.

I'm not opposed to free info if you got any tips on how to go about it that you don't mind sharing!

It wasn't that easy, actually we made a cardinal mistake in the AM, leaving fish to find fish!
Actually we fished a full day & believe me it wasn't drop & reel!
Once we figured out specific depth we needed to fish & locations then game on!
We wasted valuable time searching other areas on wrong side of lake!
I also left my down temp home so coorindsting this to bottom cost us time.
We had to use FF to establish each waypoint had fish , once we got that straight we could eliminate the areas that didn't meet this criteria!
I have couple photos forgot how to post , get them up later.
