8 pike on the Miami Spinnerbait 7/7/12
Woke up early this morning and decided to give pike fishing a try before it got way too hot out there. Wanted to see if I could catch a fish on one of the most ridiculous looking lures I had in my box.... and yes it worked. I'm convinced now that the pike will hit anything big and bright considering I didn't even have to change lures and landed 8 fish. Biggest fish I landed was 31 inches so I'm still going to have to try new places and find a good fish somewhere over 40 inches.

That lure is pretty ridiculous, lol. Nice job!!
Funny thing is, I couldn't buy a bite yesterday on a spinnerbait. Had one follow by a tiny pike, maybe 10-12".

Yeah it is one ugly lure for sure, I really don't think it was made for fishing even the way it spins is all screwed up. I couldn't believe I caught fish on it. After seeing how it looked in the water on the first cast I was ready to take it off but, I decided to give it a few more casts. Then the first one whacked it on like the 4th or 5th cast so I just kept it on for shirts and giggles..lol
