Default Upper Delaware

I am heading up to the upper delaware this weekend. Any update on how muddy the river is given the huge rains earlier this week--is it fishable?

Thanks for any thoughts.

JM

The Delaware at Washington's Crossing was still up a little this morning. Also still muddy.

At Port Jervis it's currently running at 12,000 cfm.
Average discharge at this time of the year (for the last 48 years) is about 5,000 cfm. It is dropping fast, but prob. be a little tricky to fish.

I spent last weekend canoeing and camping on the river up around Matamorus. The river was in great shape after all the rain last week. The river went down 2" each night. River is below normal for this time of year and was very clear but cold.

Fishing was good for us. Landed a few shad, lots of smallies, a few trout and fall fish. Surprisingly no rockfish and only a coulpe of sunnies. At night we had lots of fun with the some big catfish and carp.

Wish i was heading down again, should be another banner weekend. Enjoy!
