Fish ID
My friend caught this little guy in a private pond in Morris County on 5/11. It is the second time he caught one like this from he same pond. Any ideas??
BTW, I think we should have a section of [serious] unusual catches and fish ID's. I think it would be very interesting! |

That's what my friend thought. They bite on lures?? I thought they were vegetarians. I think he had a whacky worm on when he caught it.

Pike candy! I still have a few goldens in my bait freezer left over from last winter's ice season (of lack there of). They're not vegetarians, they'll feed on small bugs, worms etc...

they get big around here too, over 10" no problem in most of the ponds that have them

I have also caught these guys on a fly rod many times at a local pond
Always thought wtf is this! Maybe now I know. The ones I have caught were small to large crappie size. Hey, the fish bent the rod so...Yeah! |
