Sheppard's Lake open or closed for trout stocking?
Was thinking about hitting Sheppards Lake in Ringwood/West Milford and wanted to know if it was open for fishing or closed til Saturday for Trout. Thanks.

I know there are a lot of dedicated Trout guys out there, but I've never once targeted them. The only Trout I've ever caught were a small Rainbow @Lake Aeroflex last year on a senko and a dozen or so 18"+ Spotted Sea Trout (Gator Trout) down in Indian River Lagoon in Florida. Kind of annoying when you can't target Bass on Bass lures because Trout have just been stocked. Thanks for the info guys.

State designated holdover trout lake according to F&W website.
