Schuylkill river @ fairmount park dam 10/04
ok i know this place isnt even close to jersey but the catfish population is better than anything you can find in nj. i went there for the first time this year. the walkway behind the museum on the waterfront was destroyed from the hurricane, signs were knocked down, massive tree pileups and strong current from the recent rainfall but the cats were active as usual. caught 7 averaging 2 pounds, biggest being 3 1/4. the only thing that kills this spot is the amount of snags, i lost 8 sinkers and had to use rocks for weight, which seemed to work out even better.
