Talking Salmon River Report 9/11

Got to the SR around 7 AM, Started out at the Ballpark, nothing there. Went over to Blackhole then Staircase, nothing there. Headed to Town pool saw a couple of fish swimming in circles trying to dodge the lead being heaved at there heads. Ill be damned if im gona pay that wackjob at the bait shop 50 bucks to fish on her property, yup thats whats shes getn these days. I never fish the Town pool anyway but there were a few fish there. Headed up river to sportsmans, pineville, nothing goin on. Then to the one and only TRESTLE POOL NORTH. Very good amount of fish there, however I never fish there cus its bananas, 200 people lined up on each side of the river trying to get there SALMON FIX! It was a ZOO! Saw a few fish hooked in the ASS and a couple were landed. The water was warm and the fish that remain are laying low, we need some rain and cooler temps. Anyway my crew and I didnt catch anything but we scoped out all our holes to make sure they were in tact after last years monster flood. Its still early fellas. Its so close I can taste it. FISH ON COMIN DOWN

YES, the salmon river needs some rain! YES, The trestle pool was a zoo thats why we did not fish it, plenty of other spots to fish and we checked em and they were not holding SALMON! YES, 50 bucks to fish behind the bait shop at town pool, we also did not fish there. Ive never fished town pool cus it gets hit hard like the trestle. There are plenty of stretches up there that will remind you of Montana or Wyoming. I could take you and your buddy Lard to a couple creeks SW Pulaski. Beautiful brooks and feeder creeks 5- 10 ft wide where a handful of people fish. 10 to 30 lb fish in creeks! Not your style then stick to your little 10 to 20 inch trout on the east and west branch of the delaware, YOU ROOKIES WOULDNT BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT UP THERE..................REPORT CLOSED- PISS OFF!!!

Why drive all the way to Pulaski when you can have the same experience right here in NJ?
