![]() Haven't been on in a while...just reporting that fishing for muskies has been good. A few weeks ago I nailed a 49 incher on a super mag bulldawg, trollled up a 34 in the propwash of the boat and also boated a uniquely marked 45. I have also had follows from really big fish.....50 inches plus....the water is warm but the fish are out there and if you do happen to be lucky enough to nail one....handle with care....lactic acid buildup is a killer. Good Luck! Capt. Dave Vollenweider

![]() Thanks Capt. Dave. I saw your fish on the cover of The Fisherman. Beautiful. I'm the guy holding the carp on the cover under your pic and fishing 365 straight days. That article about your 50 was great and I subsequently called Drifter for a few Docs. I caught a couple very small musky through the ice in January and after I read that I tried targeting them in open water. My first trip I had a small 24-inch true strain nail a Super Spook over a submerged weedbed. Released safely. My friend had a smaller tiger at another lake that same day. Also released safely. We went out again this past Friday but got chased off by the lightning. Maybe we'll bump into each other one day. Be well.
