Hit Rainbow yesterday morning. We got on the water at 5:30 am. In the next hour, we had one blowup. Nothing else. We tried different things with zero results. So we got off of there at 6:45 am. We headed over to Sheperds Mills Pond.
Got on Sheperds Mills at 7:45 am. We worked the entire lake twice in a very thorough manner with poor results. We got off the lake at 9:00 am. I had 2 bass and he had the skunk. 2 lakes, 2 fish

. Very dissapointing results so far

. But 3rd. time's the charm, right?
YES! We finally had decent fishing. We got on Clarks Pond at 10:00 am. Good fishing until we left. We got off the lake at 1:00 pm. We had 22 pickeral,
perch, bass, crappie and sunfish. Most of our fish came from the shade. A variety of lures worked. Not a bad way to save the day.
Between 3 lakes and in 5 1/2 hours, we had 24 fish. A day that looked bleak in the beggining and middle ended well. Clarks Pond really saved the day. Glad to see the fishing has picked back up there. Overall, a decent day of fishing.
