With the river being so good lately I decided to bring my son down tonight. He'll be 14 in two weeks and I don't fish with him enough! Well it started out slow, but I was surprised to see how well my son was casting, he must have been practicing when I wasn't looking

. I started to pick some fish and tried handing them off for Jake to reel in, he refused saying "I will get my own"

. After my 4th fish I insisted he take the rod to get the feel of it. I proceeded to hand off two more and then as if got dark they turned on! Jake ended up catching 5 on his own and I hooked into a reel good fish in the twilight. This one was for daddy! After a few very ggod runs I landed an 18 inch brown. skinny, but still a very nice fish. Jake and I took our catch home in the dark and cooked it right away with some rice. I think he is "hooked"!
Attached are some of the fish out of the honey hole the past few days. As well as jake with his stringer.
