North Branch 4/11 and 4/12

Caught and released four brook trout yesterday 4/11. Today the water was discolored and getting worse. I fished today in heavy rain for fifiteen minutes without a hit. It's going to be tough going the next few days. I spoke to a lot of guys on the river who are having a bad year so far. One old timer told me he hasn't had a hit in a day and a half. I'm really am led to believe that the amount of fish stocked is below average. I was told there were forty guys in one large pool area Saturday and no one caught a fish. Go figure. I also received reports from the Pequest about the lack of fish. Beats me.
