Default Thank you for helping

Following a nice day of clamming West of Clam Island, returning to Bobbies marina last Saturday our rented 16' Garvey got hit with (3) two foot waves over the bow and foundered. We were traversing the inlet about 100 yards E of Clam Island at about 1:30 PM.

My daughter, Son-in-Law and I went over the side to lighten the load.

Regrouped and S-I-L bailed out the boat.

A couple of boats circled up to keep the others from cutting through and one nice couple pulled up parallel to us to to stablize and enable Cyndy and I to come aboard until our craft refloated.

I did killl the engine before abandoning ship. The Merc restarted and we retravisted the inlet without incident.
