Big Jamaica - Tilefish Report - Very Good Fishing

Very Good Tilefish Trip!
Fishing was very good on the Tile fishing trip Wednesday.

Capt Dale reported they had a boat limit of Golden Tilefish up to 20 pounds.
It was a little slow first thing in the morning, but Fishing improved as the day went on. We continue to catch fish until it was time to head in.
We also caught one bluefin tuna .

The pool winner was:
Klayd Chernovsky from Brookhaven, PA with the 20 pound tile fish.
It looks good for our upcoming trips as the amount of dogfish was considerably less than on previous trips and, the size of the tile fish was much better.

OUR NEXT TILE TRIP is set to sail at 10 PM Saturday night, May 4
There is another trip scheduled for a May 11th departure and one for June 19
We may add another trip or two to our schedule.

SATURDAY LING AND COD
Saturday the Jamaica will be fishing for ling and cod from 7 AM until 3 PM
There is currently space available on all the trips, including the tilefish trips.

SEA BASS SEASON
opens on May 17 with the amount of Sea Bass showing up already. It should be a good one.
The big Jamaica will be sailing for Sea Bass every day until it closes on June 20th
