Default Kingfish monmouth county

Any action on kingfish in the local surf? Figured with the water warming up they might be around. Thanks

Gave a real quick shot on Sunday (by boat) in some holes we always can count on by the SHCGS. Couple of micros but nothing steady at all. Water temp was 76 but dirty so I’m guessing it’s only a matter of time.

Pic is from last year but same size we got Sun.

I caught, tagged and released a 13.5” kingfish with an Ava A-17 in Manasquan Inlet on April 20. Catch it again.

Thank you. If there not there, it is unlikely they are north of there. I guess I have to patiently wait....lol Love those tasty fish.
