PROWLER5 - MAY 2ND - FIRST DAY - FLUKE REPORT
We were out with a very light crowd today for the first day of fluke season. It was a rainy and cold morning. It definitely did not feel like May 2nd. Our first drift of the day with the engines running, working the ledge was the best, with 3 keepers and a dozen shorts. Then we lost the conditions for the rest of the day. Regular Jack was high hook with 2 keepers. I really didn't expect too much today with all of the giant runoff we had from the storms. It should get better and better. But it was a very slow day for our first trip on the fluke grounds. We'll be back at it in the morning. Sailing everyday now for fluke 7:30 to 2:30, fare $90.
