Default Assateague

Anything going on in Assateague in late March ? I k ow zero about the area but might be down there. Figure could bring some surf rods to try my luck

looks like Summer Flounder, Sea Bass and Tautog are going to be your best shot. Check the regs since not sure what is open right now.

Some years the Black Drum run starts mid-late March on the Virginia side of Assateague and the first fluke are caught in the back waters around Chincoteague. Fluke is open all year 4 fish 16" and Black Drum 1 fish 16".
You can give Captain Steve's on Chincoteague island a call for detailed info or follow them on FB.

Don't forget your fishing license. You need one for salt water in VA.
