Default Navesink Crabbing

Got out yesterday 7/20 and crabbed the last few hours of incoming and thankfully we had a good breeze since it was Africa hot...

Passed a few rental boats who were crabbing deep in the channel and complaining about all females. We set up in 6 feet or so way outside the channel.

We had 2 solid hours of crabbing with chicken necks and backs using drop lines and got 2 dozen really nice Jimmies and some but not many females and throw backs. Once the tide stopped so did the action so we headed back to the dock to sweat it out.

Man I had forgotten how good fresh steamed crabs were.... One beer in the pot a layer of crabs with yellow mustard and old bay, repeat layers and steam for 25 mins. They were soooo good!

There’s an Asian market by us who sells chicken bones for soup. Its all necks cut up in 4 inch pieces so perfect size.

I don't think having a fluke carcass is legal to possess on the water
