![]() Been out a couple of times. Did a River Float MR on the PP NS as our seabass trip was blown out. 11 keeper fluke, many shorts and a quick blitz inside the inlet on 2-5 lb blues with FM. Fun day
Got out Thursday with Henry on his Parker for a 7:30 to 11:30 trip. Started off north of SRI in 30 ft with action on shorts but way too many skates. Capt Henry moved off to 65 ft for a better drift and less skates. Paid off as we were mostly all alone and had the right bites. Nothing picture worthy as you all know what Fluke look like but total 7 nice fish / 2 overs to 19" / 5 slots etc for 3 of us. Robins / and a lone seabass that went back and rods were bent all morning . Not bad for a short window. Bunker and porpoise around as well for sight seeing. Pink Ball jig and Plain hook teaser with white glow gulp on both worked best for me. 5K LOL ORL. Same jig all morning was also a bonus Great day west wind to SW to SE but when we had a drift we had the bites. Thanks Henry

![]() Nice report Dave. It looks like the NJ slot fluke regs are putting fish in the box and working for most. Of course there are days that we throw back 'overs', but that's not a bad problem to have.
My buddies in N.Y. are disgusted with the Sea Bass regs that were announced 1 day before they were put into effect last week: 3 fish at 16". As much as we criticize NJ saltwater regs we are privileged to have folks like you fighting and providing for us,,,, thanks Dave👍

![]() If you want to come down to it New Jersey and New York Regs suck. They are both highly democratic states like most costal states. Just saying here. It is what it is.

![]() Nice trip Dales.
As far as the regulations, you’re never going to please everyone. The only thing you can do is voice your opinions, try and explain them, convince other to support your point of view and speak up at the meetings.

![]() Yeah was just meant as a fishing post! Nice day on the salt with friends and a few fish.
I still believe that the ONE spot left on this earth is out there where everyone leans in the same direction. At the rail when the horn blows or the private boat stops. Fish with many on both sides of the aisle but out there its a team and individual support no matter what as its simply a good day. Leave the crap at the dock or in the meetings as its never easy but "out there" has to remain sacred no matter who ya are! Catch em up who knows what next year will bring.
