Barnegat Bay Sat/Sun

Me and a friend got an early start Saturday and found it very slow at first. We moved around and got on some Fluke in shallow water that started biting as the tide was topping off. They were totally gorged with grass shrimp, got one 21inch over 2 slot fish and three shorts, my friend Danny had one over just shy of 23inches,an 18 inch slot and 7 shorties. The bite died after the incoming tide slacked. Sunday we tried the same and it was among the slowest bites we ever had. I went 1 short and 1 bite and my 2 friends had 3 shorts between them. We got out of there when the traffic started getting crazy. For me the slot sized fish are better table fare than the larger over fish.
