Default Finally

After a rough couple of months with figuring out what was wrong with my boat, I finally splashed her. Got out around 2:30 and bounced around. Just happy to br out. Got a nice fatty on a tandem Mojo. Dropped another one after a long battle and me being an idiot. Definitely a BIG fish….. Just happy to be out with no issues. SE wind was brutal. Tough trolling two rods as a solo. Not many boats outs where I was trolling. Let the madness begin this weekend! Be safe out there.

Glad you got out and I feel your pain dropping the big fish... I'm still haunted by a few of those... Not sure it was the case with you but it mostly happens when you take the boat out of gear to fight the fish, especially if it's windy.

Haha!!!! Took the boat out of gear, fought her fir awhile, tried to move the other rod out of the way during the fight……. Slack line. I’m an idiot. Did the same thing last May, but didn’t learn my lesson. It’s OK…. She swam away and I have a memory of a huge fish. Back at it again this weekend with my son. He’s 8 and a fishing machine. Be safe out there!!! The crazies will be out in force.

Yep slack line does it all the time and hard to keep the boat in gear fishing by yourself. I'm a idiot as well, even with others onboard... You get a fish on and the excitement makes you loose your mind and forget everything you've learned...

Good luck this weekend and hope you and your son get into them again.
